Not enought time in a day.

Went over to Stu's house today after leaving Barbies house.

Barbie again has had one of her schitzo power control moments at Nash's Garden. I told her Wednesday not to touch or cut the long stem of next years Blackberry crop off . It was getting so long that I decided to to Force a bamboo cane into the ground and extend it with another and tie the two together with string to make it higher. I then tied the stem of next years crop to it.

That day she gave me another load of defying against common sense crap because she is just like me father and thrives on creating an argument which will give themselves more power mentaly over me.She's a psychic vampire I tell you and complained that Wednesday just gone that she kept catching herself on it when she walk past and that it hurt.

What the stupid argument and power seeking old woman failed to realise before she opened her mouth was that this Blackberry is a totaly thornless variety. Again she has achieved nothing in doing what she has done.

It wont be the first time she has done this. One year while I was over in Ireland she done the same and cut the next years growth off. At the end of the day barbie is a mouthy old coward and prefers to tamper with not only Natures course by my work behind my back.

What she failed to realise was the fact that my Stihl petrol Hedgetrimmer was in the back room under the table . and For five or ten minutes I felt like firing it up and completely leveling the whole garden and ending our relationship.

But again I have broken to weakness as I have very very few people that I know personaly in this world. Rex is 89 and wont last indefinately. Barbie is the same age as me mother and a Biggoted Methodist Christian widow , and we know how dangerous religion can be. In my opinion it seems to swell peoples ego's badly and they thus look down on you like your some inferior being.

Sturt however tonight that I saw is more like a Brother than a cousin , as I have know him for ever and when we were much younger we would alternate visits to eachothers houses at the weekend in the mid to late 1980's. Stuart now is an In the box every day guy with a Job , a car and a job that pays him just £200 a month too less for him to be able to have a comfortable life.

Not to mention a certain amount of debt that he is hoping to sort out in the next two years.

Stuarts Father died back in 2001. And due to me and my Father not getting on exactly rosy because he is just like barbie a control freak and seeker of excuses to have an argument. I decided years ago that I regard Stuart as the new head of our side of the family the Moore's.

I have a great respect for my Brick 6 ft 4 brick Wall , after all thats why he has the oversize Big cuppa mug in my flat.

Anyway enough of my life that makes me want to shut myself out of family life and become an inward turning moaner , lonely , neglected , colourfull and eccentric recluse.

-------------------------------

I will be picked up by Stuart tommorow Morn about 9.00am so we can get Brekkie at Gary's snack shack. Then it will be over to the plot to at least look at it even if we dont do anything.

Saturday afternoon we are going down to Ken's Caravan at Winchelsea and spending the night there. As were going to the Goodwood Festival of Speed sunday and I wont be anywhere near my compi on Sunday , come to think of it I wont be any where near it Saturday.

-------------------------------

Oh did I happen to mention my Mumsy is a chronic moaner as bad as me , Cant was up , cook without burning or leaving the gas on , or stop herself from breaking something everytime she comes round.

Basically an unintentional interfearer.

-------------------------------

On better news I had to Collect another big clump of Stinging Nettles stems early this morning say 00.00 Friday. The Tennison Handley Peacocks are getting through it a lot quicker now , especialy the ones that were once very small communities of many that where gathered after cutting their silken webs off by the stem underneath.

The Tennison handley peacocks are now starting to Pupate and get ready for pupation and are hanging themselves from the top of the converted IKEA ( Ingo ) glass cabinet. Also hanging from the glass shelf partition that I left just below half way down the glass cabinet. Where I have further more glass milk bottles filled with water and more bunches of Stinging nettles.

So hopefully the Tennison handley's will be ok for Nettles for the next day and a half while I am away.

__________

The Harrington country Painted ladies of which I have 11 in total. The first three were found eating Borage of all plants , and this set me looking for more of which I found on Thistle later alongside Ding a ling link not far from Harrington rd Tram stop.

Four of the Harrington Country pk Painted ladies have allready pupated and with new thistle spigs for the rest of the catterpillars that more than likely would have been reduced to nothing by the time I get back from Goodwood. I hope to have a few more PL pupae and just a couple of Catterpillars that may need new thistle sprigs.

The Tennison Handley peacocks are now starting to pupate or set up to it at a good rate now , and shed their catterpillar skin to be a soft bodied bright lime green , of which soon harden.

Fantastic news indeed.

This huge haul of Tennison handley Peacocks I gathered. NOT ONE as yet has succumbed to parasites , which normaly emerge as maggots and harden into casters , of which I normaly feed to Mosschops the Shububkin and his Scurvy crew.

*****************

Further more

Fish
Guinea Pigs
Rabbit's
Lovebirds
Budgies
Pigeons
Mice &
11 Painted Lady catterpillars
400 Peacock catterpillars

Dont talk back and seek power over oneself.

Although =^o^= Schneeball is highly inteligent , knows my routine and rattles the Aluminium partition between his lounge side and Bunny dunn side any time he wants something or when I have a visitor. He does test me sometimes and the Guinea pig likes to chew Chicken wire when she wants something or crash and bang on the metal dripper thing on her water bottle when she is wanting.

rabbits and Guinea Pigs seem to be a strain on my highly sensitive ASD gifted mind.

Thank heavens for Fish , Mice and Birds. Much less hassle and efect on your mental stability.

Oh yea and I almost forgot !

Blah

blah

blah

blah.

I have'nt even started refitting Mankee's hutch out yet. It's 1.43 am and i'm still on the computer. Have so much to do I wish I could just work through the morning ready for pickup at 9.00.

But the truth is it will ruin me both physicaly and mentaly.

I have trouble with sleep from the begining fullstop and by the time I have not finished my day to day chores due to being out most of the day ,it's often so early when i'm done faffing that it almost warrants me to not bothering to go to bed at all.

This does'nt include keeping up with my online life too.

Severe weather warning ( Nashdom ) South London

02 , 02 2009 00.59 am. Nashdom Tramlink unit No 2539 to Therapia Lane depot , is the last from woodside this morning . I walked up the line after this tram as snow began to fall heavier on my way to sandilands. By the time I was on my way back and reached woodside again , the tracks were only just visable above the snow and I tripped at least a couple of times on them.

My personal favourite snowman of the day located at Woodside Green.

Hot chilli peppers for Eye brows, three green beans for a mouth , standard carrot for a nose and sliced Cucumber for buttons. Very smooth and clean and sports cool shades as well as neko ears.

Addiscombe Farm circa 1676 . finaly covered in a decent quantity of snow and thus creating a classic winter postcard scene.

Herons Croft Addiscombe , Circa 1493 , under a liberal covering of snow.

A Snow woman borne of a dead Oak trees Spirit.
Home wine 2008

I decided to have another go at making some wine. The last time I done this was back in Sept 2004 , when I made Blackberry and Elderflower cordial wine. A sample packet of Elderflower cordial came in through the door back then and seeing it contained citric acid in the ingredients I decided to add it to the Blackberry must.

I filled two Demijohns and in the end when the fermentation stopped I had 11 bottles out of them [ RESULT ]

This year see's the return of wine making to nash's flat.

This time it is Wild Pear . The tree of which is situated within the Dreaming suburb and it's location would either be on top of the former Coldstream or alongside the west bank. The Coldstream most likely having been filled in around the 1850's.

Two bags of sugar went in the fermenting bin as well as a quantity of water which went on top of a considerable amount of quartered wild pears , I added pectolase and waited for two days for the juice to come out before removing all the pear sections and added the yeast. then I added yeast nutrient and the brew has taken off and is bubbling nicely.

Tonight I racked off the first Demijohn's full of E.I.C Wild Pear wine. The leas have settled to the bottom now and the bubbles are popping fast and furious from the trap. < pop > , < pop > , < pop >

Also in this picture a rare unseen view of a portion of my Bedroom of which has never been seen by Cabbit Kind. A small corner that has changed over the years as far as ornaments are concerned.

Now sporting two Hindu gods , a jostick in holder and a miniture Buddha. the first Chinese laquered panel that I bought all those years ago is a permanent feature in this posistion.

By Troika

I went back to the place where I had inspiration first for Nash-eoke and with some cans slapped this up. It's realy crap and I could'nt even graff a carrot properly.

lol

I think I will stick to the uncomfortable slow and drawn out smudged pencil line arts me thinks.

Skate ramp 1

----------------

Then again , this is a Moby phone pic of a second carrot that randomly sprung up on another skate ramp this time in my home town.

Back to the Patch , R.I.P Ohki could be the late Toky-Ohki , Nash-eoke or the cabbit patch itself. In a service pit by Troika

As you can see this carrot is considerably better than the last.

Skate ramp 2

Dear Livejournal Jobbie it's been a long time and I realy dont have the time for you . But still , before I go to Ireland I will slap up a couple of pics of last years front line pumpkin of which I carved for my Vauxhall loving cousin.

actualy the amount of agrovation his current vaux and previous ones have given him , he most likely would'nt agree with me on that one.

Unlit and in it's post completion glory.

vaux pumpkin lit

Another copy of old book discovered online

Found a book exactly like the one I found in Albert Rd in a skip online up for sale . Old books interest me muchly but it seems even the one online that looks exctly like mine appears not to have a date either.

My copy is way better that this one as it has that light musty smell and has numerous homely foxing patches throughout. Some person thinks the book dates from 1935 but judging by the monochrome plates I would guess more in the lines of 1901 to 1920 but I may be wrong.

This is one chunky old book and has that fantabulous warm and fabric like texture to the touch.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/The-Big-Book-of-Needlecraft-pub-1935-Odhams-Press_W0QQitemZ200191511271QQihZ010QQcategoryZ21537QQ_trksidZp1723.m118.l1247QQcmdZViewItem

I however failed to find any examples of H H Thomas The Ideal Garden ( 1910 ) , the only H H Thomas books being of later in date to the 1930's

A wonderfully embossed book with some gold guilding.

Also of mention

The finest legends of the rhine , Whilhelm Ruland ( 1936 )

Cacti and Succulents , A J Huxley ( 1953 )

A Manual Of Classification for librarians and bibliographers by W.C.Berwick Sayers ( 1944 )

Browns Manual Of library Economy by James Duff Brown , fifth edition by W.C.Berwick Sayers ( 1937 ) Dedicated to the memory of James Duff Brown

Emerson Essays book dates to 1903 and is a hard little thing with a very Art Nurr wotzit motif on the front.

A Manual Of Childrens Libraries by W.C.Berwick sayers ( 1932 )

Life Before Death , Verse by Ranald Newson ( 1938 ) Signed by the author and sent to W.C.Berwick Sayers.

For Saxophone And Harpsichord , Verse by Ranald Newson ( 1932 ) Signed by the author and sent to W.C.Berwick Sayers.

Cassell's Childrens Book Of Knowledge ( Vol IV ) Date unknown , belonged to a kid called james wallis at some time in the past.

Edit..

Looked into Ranald Newson today online to find only one article of interest , this being a page compiled by a fellow reasearcher that had browsed the Nashdom public libraries. Reference was made to a famous Poet and Bengali Artist by the name of Rabindranath Tagore that had at some point been aquainted with the poet Ranald Newson in the early part of the 20th century.

This prompted me to today again visit a particular skip in Elmers Rd and have a further rummage within , towards one end of the skip I found yet another book of poems by Ranald Newson , this being in good condition but minus it's covers . Think of my suprise when I looked in a few pages to find a folded piece of lined paper , I instantly became excited and the content added further trimmings after only just spotting said name on a web page that morning.

Isadora , Verse by Ranald Newson ( 1935 ) Contained letter from Ranald Newson to W.C.Berwick Sayers.

Undated letter as reads

Dear Mr Sayers.

Rabindranath tagore arrives in England in april and I have arranged to return with him to India in June. Meanwhile I have made a farewell offering of verse - which I send to you. You have done a great deal to help me and I am deeply grateful to you.
I am very tired of life , but I still dream of creating a series of big works for the sake of those few who have stood by me.

Your Sincerely

Ranald Newson

-------------

This letter explaining the Author signed copies of his said works to W.C.Berwick Sayers . It's a small world.

Also

Bombs were dropped , verse by Ranald Newson [ Date 1940 ] slightly rotten hole at rear of book and pages have come away from long rusting staples.

The old mans dilema.

Grandpa Rex's chances of transfer to a old peoples home near Nashdom has taken a setback earlier this week , after failing to show her face over the Christmas period to see her uncle at the Devon old peoples home , she suddenly decided to object to the old mans plans to move back to Nashdom to be with his friends.

The Mother of none other than Nash himself called the old mentor this afternoon , of which gramps at one point was almost to the point of tears . Despite being 87 years of old grandpa rex is more than on the ball and has been more than depressed of late and just wants to get out and return back to suburbia where he see's his real life as being.

A visit by Nash and Kyosho was almost postponed for fear of upsettng his feelings as we may not be bringing him home after all , but Rex being the bright man he is and would have been expecting us anyway , it was decided that we would make the trip to Devon after all , after the old man pleaded for our presence.

Kyosho and Nash plan to leave from Norwood Nashdom at 6.30am Saturday morning and with funds from Mumsy wumsy and a list of B&B's to contact when we are down there , the garmin will be set up to the exact address and we should arrive at Yelverton around 11.00 am .

Spotted :

The duo will be traveling in the Star Silver Vectra GSi estate with motorsport alloys and yellow motorsport flashes , a car of which is rather on the emphatic side of voice.

Hopefully it wont break down on the way there or on the return journey.

I shall wear my custom made T shirt and extra wide bell JNCO jeans and black suede beetlecrushers just in case a miracle should happen but I dont think I will wear all of my regalia as I have put on a bit of Sir cumfrence around the wrists. Quote : Not Harry seccombe , Shut up you fool !

Will also take the Cannon EOS300D just in case we have a group hug or feel the need to obtain evidence of the old mans farmer style white beard , of which is Rex's late teenage rebelion.

It would have been nice if this was the journey we brought the old man home , but Rex himself holds the key and needs to tell his neice what to do and where to go , and hopefully not get too emotional at seeing the two of us and thus give up.

I would suggest an alliance with all the members of the Orange and Green community in Devon and fabricate an uprising and ceremoniusly ride into the countryside with an Ultimatum or treaty to have the elder statesman released , and then there's Plan B . Bombard a certain location near Ivybridge with French fries , parsnips and rabid pink weasels until until the bumpkin conceedes defeat . But unfortunately I must remind myself this is in fact the real world.

So if anybody happens to see two seriously lanky guys emerge from a Silver Veccie Estate in the south west , you never know your luck.

It maybe that one of them is

.

.

.

.

.

.

Nash

The scene is Cassablanca and a rather tall and handsom sky blue cabbit man leans on a piano with a tall Martini perched ontop.

As the seedy venue buzzes on lightly a man in a fez hat does his stuff on the Joanna . Cunard takes another puff on his ciggarette and scolds the mongul looking man.

" Meeoow ! , If you can play it fo her , you can play it for me , PLAY IT "

Suddenly the gaunt faced cabbit gents attention is distracted and he aggitatedly fiddles with his tuxedo or smart suit as it were , he takes another puff and exhales.

=^_^=

" I have been expecting you " he talks with a stiff and slightly folded upper lip at an approaching lady ," would you like a drink at the bar."

The mongul man amid the air of fashionable smoke , Carlsberg beer and eastern spices , begins to play The Song.

But it's her song not cunards.

Cunard smiles half heartedly.

=^_^=

" Now how about that drink ? " , I also have a bowl of Banana's from bombay and Dates from Iran.
Mineral based Cabbits stats.

After browsing for Snailbeach Lead Mine nr Minsterly Shropshire , of which has some indirect story link to my self created Cabbits of certain crystaline base materials. I started with Sphalerite or ~sphaler~ the male cabbits crystal compund of which in reality is Zinc Sulphide , saving a page to my favourites that showed variations in crystal formations.

No doubt it will be one of these crystals that will adorn the forhead of ~sphaler~ if I ever get to drawing a representation of him.

I also found out the suprise proposals to create a Narrow guage railway from Callow Hill quarry all the way up eventualy to Snailbeach mine itself , a web site that contains much information indeed. But after a recent note from Council representatives saying that the region needs not another steam railway and should put their money towards repairs of track and trackbed on the Severn Valley railway after serious flood damage , a complete U turn of a local councils support.

Needless to say the Snailbeach District Railway as it has been called has thrown caution to the wind and scrapped the idea of working to a 2ft 3/4 in guage for the more standard Narrow guage.

Indeed I still have specimens of Sphalerite and Galena of which I have drawn an early representation of this female cabbit that pre dates my first Nash-eoke drawing. The specimens of which now reside in my glass cabinet along with other numerous field trip specimens.

I also stumbled upon a list and came across another of my self created mineral based cabbits , This one being the female Celeste . I have a large specimen of Celestine ( Strontium Sulphate ) in my collection and have looked up the crystal meditation qualities of this mineral , of which goes a long way to describe the cabbits character itself.

I remember buying this large cluster at Merton Abbey mills but you can also find celestine in Nodules at Cassington Pit in Oxfordshire , of which are situated in the sticky grey blue clays of the Jurrasic Oxford Clay.

Needless to say I have subsequently and randomly started a drawing of ~Celeste~ now and she has taken on a more high society governess look . Now the the Cabbit Patches Adopt a cabbit is gone > One has to create their own stories so lets say a young posh boy with a huge round swirly lollipop and school baseball cap found her in and old Victorian ferned garden grotto.

He he

And at this moment ~ Celeste~ is looking rather a dainty outline.

List of self created mineral based cabbits as follows.

( F ) ~celeste~ Heavenly pale blue , Calm , Intelligent and creative , wonderful singer , Spiritualy aware and has taken on a high class guise do to new young owners touch. Interpretation under way.
( M ) ~MALACHI~ Green cabbit was on Cabbit Patch Adopt a cabbit but not adopted or referenced
( F ) ~CORUNDE~ Pink Red cabbit , No interpretation as yet , neither adopted or referenced
( M ) ~Chryso~ Yellow cabbit with full large crystal in forehead , was found locked in a cage in the dark by a girl called Kawii on a school caving trip , who took him to a farm and then Kawii dissapeared due to lack of communication with her cabbit.
( F ) ~ Galena ~ Silver cabbit with Gun metal or dull lead colour patches , was self adopted by Author Darren Hollycrofts foster daughter Mirage Hollycroft , ~galena~ is a strange cabbit in that she has unstable masses and frequently reverts to her soft mass state ,also due to her metalic base she will take on the form of any machine or internal combustion powered vehicle that she should accidently fall on in this state , or deliberately placed by Mirage.

Current Forms

Carrot Juice Powered

Silver Peugeot 405 saloon ( Mirage )
An Oldsmobile ( Old Crock ) Circa 1900 -1910
A Supermarine Super Stranraer boat plane
A Handley Page 42 passenger airline.

Also did I mention ~Galena~ and Mirage are totaly raging. XD so close.

( M ) ~SPHALER~ Sphaler is featured in many forums as a user and featured in one roleplay but as yet this male cabbit has no representation in a drawing , I have guessed sphaler's mental stability at first to be unstable and prone to attacking his new owner if he should get one. , but I am sure he will snap out of it. May or may not be found by Marie a character of Camryn's.

Also recently I started a very basic drawing of the Kidney shaped pool with many mailstroms , I remember in the dream the water was an ugly algae filled dark green but in this case the imagination triumphs once again and I am sure I can design a nice ground submerged swimming pool from the dream memory.

And in other news I opened up a bottle of Pret Carrot juice this morning only for it to after a good shake to go up like a fermented fountain. I have never known anything like it.

Ok so it was a bit out of date , but it was in the fridge.

=^-^=

This years halloween looks to be yet another groundbreaking one in the line of personal pumpkin design.

This years two main pumpkins being ( a )

An organic allotment grown pumpkin that must weight at least 40lbs , it is a rather corky skinned fruit and I have gone with the idea of the Puking pumpkin for 2007 . Seeing as the 2006 main carving the 69lb Ferox pumpkin ( (V) (oo) (V) ) almost made us threw up ourselves Barbie and I.

( b ) After removing something from my Converted Leksvik glass cabinet I had inspiration decided I would do a pumpkin for cousin Stuart this year . It seems that I have taken a jump from having good basic pumpkin skills maybe to the next level , because this specialy designed pumpkin will take some carefull work. but due to aquiring new tools I am confident the Vauxhall Gryffyn < or however you spell it will come out on top.

Hopefully when all is done and the pictures have been taken Stuart can send a few Picture messages to the Vauxhall Sports car club S.E region chaps and chapess's

So here is 2007's ditch effort at a I can beat you for 2005's All Hallowes cabbit carving . The performance Gryffyn carving , the pumpkin in question being a 99p Tesco bought standard run of the mill Jack O lantern variety pumpkin.

Note I wont be showing pics of it carved and lit up until next year , so enjoy the silver logo in it's entire.

last years carvings this year.

I thought I had better slap up a couple of pictures of last years ( 2006s ) pumpkin carving efforts , as I had been asked at the time by somebody what my 69lb pumpkin looked like.

but as a rule I always post up pics of the previous years carvings the year later.

So for the two or three peeps that gaze upon my LJ here are a couple of pics of last years 69lb Ferox pumpkin.

A pumpkin that I nearly lost due to my Father picking it a month too early . It sat at Barbara's in the back room and was set upon by Fruit flies of which commenced feasting on the remains of the stalk . Eventualy it began to look worrying and water began to build up around the stalk caused by the enzymes in the flies saliva breakinbg down the top of the pumpkin.

I tried everything to dry it out from tissue paper to salt , but eventualy I was picking hairy fruit fly larvae from the flesh around the stalk with tweezers.

Eventualy when we did come up to halloween and opened this huge pumpkin , Barbara and I almost threw up after it was clear the fruit flies saliva had affected the inside of the pumpkin or maybe it was the salt. The innards stank and all the seeds were swimming in a grean slurry.

The walls of the pumpkin were in some cases very thin indeed and down to maybe a couple of centimeters only as you can see by the orange glow on the sides of finished carved pumpkin.

after carving and being completely hosed down inside and excess water absorbed by tea towels and bogroll , the pumpkin finaly was ready for 5 or 6 CP ( Candle Poewer ) , this thankfully began to dry the inside of our Behemoth out and it declined from degrading any further , and eventualy became a half decent carving for 2006.

After a wet start , The Ferox pumpkin

A 3/4 side view of the Ferox pumpkin showing the ears I added to the sides and the port on top to release heat and prevent lid shrinking and burning.

Last Week : Just returned from Ireland 2007 trip

Two Disasters : Caught a lump of matted hair on = ^ ~ ^ = Toky-Ohki's rear and took a big chunk of skin off her arse. 2 Came home to find the new Budgie Victoia had escaped her cage and had her feet chewed on by my Lovebird Dickie

Yesterday : Started creation of my latest batch or baked clay Jostick holders , made from softer moulding clay that I got from World of wonder , Clonmel ,Ire pebublic . Three holders created and painting has begun.

Today : Finished painting the Jostick holders that are now at my flat and awaiting photo shoot , may slap them up on DA at some point . 2 As seen on TV The Flying Gardener with Chris Beardshaw ( The Plymouth episode ) , made a planter out of 4 1/2 slate roof tiles , pieces of wood , Copper wire to twist and Silicone sealent to seal the base after drilling four drainage oles .

Oh and dont forget the Osama Bin Liner.

Thanks to the main man Sunlightstalker for nudging me in the direction to post.

Random Historical and rail related ramblings.

This past bank holiday has been quite interesting indeed.

First of all Stuart , Myslef , Kev and Bev and the two kids went to the Mid Hants railway , there were two engine working that day.

Them being The Unrebuild West Country 4.6.2 Light pacific class as designed by O.V.S Bullied , No 34007 that being Wadebridge , the first time I have see this particular engine in steam.

Also Br Standard 6 4.6.0 as designed by Riddles , No 73096 . The same engine that does the Daylight railtours on the mainline , also being the first time that I have seen this engine.

Some extra loco's were spotted at Ropley , These being the rebuilt West Country Bodmin a Diesel of the Class 33 class or ( Crompton ) as they were called , Cannadian Pacific was in the shed and an 08 diesel shunter was nearby but all but silent , The sole survivor of the Maunsell N class 2.6.0 is still painted in James red which continues to apall me.

If there is a Thomas weekend just let the kids have Thomas , there no need to ruin the Uk's one and only example of N class mogul is there.

but it seemed that during the day kevin proved to be the biggest kid out of the lot of us and much to the embarrasment of his two kids.

on my ramblings at Arlesford station I found the LSWR signal post lamp cases to be of different design to the one I found at the trackside at Gowlands close in Addiscombe , although made by the same company , Welch Patent S 35 Lamp Mfg & Rly Supplies Ltd London.

On the Arlesford I found the mounts to be different and also the backlights as well as in one case a difference in the design of the ventilator , taking into account these were in fact lower quadrant semaphore signals . It was'nt until we got off at ropley I discovered the Ropley Up starter signal was upper quadrant and to my suprize had the same external HS 79 lamp case fitted that I found in Addiscombe ,this one however was painted all over in black and had the standard pins keeping the spindle in place and the lid down.

It seems on closer inspection of the Lamp cases at Arles ford and then from a distance at ropley that the cases are all devoid of burners , so it seems that the railway obviously is obliged to end workings before nightfall , however I cannot be sure about shunting signals on the railway.

---------------

After the Mid hants we all went down on Winchester as Stuart and I had visited Salisbury on the way back from seeing Grandpa Rex in Devon that time , said to at once have been englands capital I found it a lovely small town with wonderfull architecture , profuse statues of interest and more than enogh green space and bedding schemes to keep any tourist interested.

I became slightly agitated towards the end of the trip as I could feel my normal pains begining to rise , and yet I was still stuck in the wetherspoon ordering and evening meal.
Eventualy a chicken Korma was devoured and I itched to get back outside and acheive my objective.

Due to a flitting floggit moment with Paul Martin I convinced myself that the scene in Mum and Dads heirloom oil painting on a Mahogany panel was in fact a corner of Winchester , but father will be himself and deny any truth until he is blue in the face , even the bible of the Oxford dictionary is wrong to him.

Unfortunately for him my fleeting Floggit hunch was correct and I found the modern scene to be very similar indeed to that in the painting , the only changes being that there are more untaxable windows in the buildings now and there are a set of Georgian columns missing in the modern day.

Also if I remember the artist of which we have no signature was most likely having a larf at the time and has replaced a statue of perhaps King Alfred in the painting with a Virgin Mary and baby Jesus , I shall have to check on that , also it seems that the spire of this monument has been replavce at some point in the last 2 to 300 yrs.

The Custom made T shirt a few days before the arrival of Jezarel , Photo taken alongside the ExPostie at East India Way , Addiscombe , Croydon. And most likely the towns longest and highest freestanding wall of which used to be the platform 3 wall of the so named station that used to be on this site.

After all the preparation and rather expensive price , my fellow paw munchkins never got to either the shirt or me in person , mainly due to lack of organisation , communication at the appropriate time , and also a mornings laziness on my part the day she arrived.

The custom made T shirt around the time of Jezarel's visit and unfaded , I am currently brandishing a cluster of Radishes that were grown in Nash's garden , or Barbara's garden.

Seeing as the carrots are all but dried up , the lil furries must find alternative roots to eat.

The front transfer and =^-^= T shirt as a whole after it's unfortunate fading due to it's first and last wash.

A closer look at the front transfer.

=^-^= , need I say more .

The rear transfer on the =^-^= custom made T shirt.

" What has become of my T shirt "

" All the colours are running "

So let the colours runs , look what they have become.

=^~^= Seems my Custom made Nash in a suitcase T shirt that I had made specialy made for Jezarel on her visit to the UK , it has faded in the wash well at least the transfers on the front and rear have.

But as Bob Ross would say , " We dont make mistakes , we have happy accidents " , as in this case . the T shirt looks much less like the U2 All that you cant leave behind briefcase cover and has taken on a more Zooropa look from 1993 , so it's not such a disaster after all.

but I wont be washing it again.

And in other news Jonathan , A.K.A Mr_Nash recieved a letter from Bromley hospital a few days ago , I am to go for a souper douper wooper Nuclear scan next monday coming , I have to be injected with a Nuclear Tracing fluid before a two or four hour wait , I am then having a full body Souper Douper Wooper scan , more steps to be taken in finding out what is causing my > Random < joint pains and what it is.

And whatever happens to me happens to Nash-eoke , so I may have a new idea for a DA deviation or maybe another T Shirt , providing I keep it away from the Washing Machine !!

More pointless audio equiptment by Nash

Found a single Aiwa SX-WNS888 speaker yesterday of which was silver in appearance and was a rather unusual item , with the normal super tweeter and a mid range speaker and a huge port at the front , I had notice that the speaker was rather heavy and on closer inspection on the way back to my flat I noticed that there was a rather large Sub Woofer contained internaly.

Well due to the audio wires having been cut off by the mean last owners I decided to destroy the speaker today after last night breaking it down and bare to the 160mm SubWoofer , to cut a long story short with ruler in hand I done some mesuring and removed at least a 1/3 off the depth of the speeker with a saw so it looks as it is now , a job that was'nt too easy and used a circular cutting thingy on a cordless drill to create a port at the back before soldering new thicker audio wire to the terminals and filling all holes with silicone sealent.

So in the end I come up with this pretty pointless speaker , but it kept me busy and I like the rustic old school look of it , especcialy the Red Dymo lettering on the front that I put on . The mid range speaker that came in the origional SX-WNS888 speaker is bagged up if I ever should need it in the future.

Tried it out tonight and it works allright , seems a little weak though I could maybe insert a capasitor < ? at some later date me thinks.

Took the Ridgeback velocity and Coolstop trailer down to South Croydon/Purley Recycle station earlier today and dropped off my first load of plastic for recycling , mainly comprising of plastic milk cartons , 2 litre water bottles and the odd container , had a quick sniff at the small electricals skip and at first saw a lap top of which I decided not to pick up , I had seen a stereo and on further inspection I found it not to be an Aiwa but a Sharp , although in basic appearance and triple CD changer it did look rather similar and most likely was standard parts , bearing in mind the laser unit that was in my NSX V710 was a Sony component and the one I transplanted from Z-HT540 was also a Sony , so the Sharp stereo may have been the same . but I failed to pick it up due to a depot warden giving me the eye.

Arrived at Warren Rd purley not far from the Day Agregates < ? and London concrete depot to have a sniff at the loose chalk scree and climbed up a 1 in 4 with the aid of Birch , Pine and Hawthorn saplings that were none too forgiving , noticed a large colony of naturalized cottoneaster and also one small Helebore plant , I scaled quite some distance up the slope and eventualy came across an outcrop of what appears to be the Upper Chalk of the Santonian stage maybe the Micraster Coranguinum zone or possibly the Micraster Cortestudinarium zone underneath of which would be the Coniacian stage below , after all in the past I had found a large specimal of M. Cortestudinarium at Kenley a short distance away , it is just under that stage of the upper chalk where the older Middle chalk begins and thus the Turonian stage and the Sternotaxis Plana zone , of which in between is the band that contains the unusual ammonite Scaphites.

Unfortunately I was present on the site at completely the wrong time of year as heavy growth of Ivy , tree saplings and some bramble was making it hard to see any chalk surface at all , at one point I had spotted maybe two M.Coranguinum or M.Cortestudinarium in a block of chalk , unfortunately not having a fossil hammer with me at the time or even a basic chizel I was forced to leave them and make my descent . it was'nt until I was off the steep slopes and along side road level until walking became complicated , the loose chunks of chalk were very hard to get a foothold on and I found one foot going one way and the other going the opposite in only a small area of scree material between ivy cover . I returned to my bike to find the expected , a peugeout 405 Jam sandwich parked up and two coppers staring at my bike and trailer lying on its side locked up.

The usual question was asked , what are you doing and I said I was looking for fossils on the scree slopes of the cliff , and proved that it was my bike by unlocking the D lock that held my bike and trailer together , they thought maybe the bike had been one that could have been stolen from Purley station and dumped for later attention.

as I left it was then I had noticed that I had lost a leather riding glove somewhere on that slope , so I may return to get those Micrasters yet and have a good look for my leather glove at the same time , and if the Sawtec brushcutter head I bought fails to fit on Stuarts Ryobi strimmer I will have another good reason to go back to that location , the likely reason I may have lost my glove being that they were both in my left hand jacket pocket and unfortunately the stitching has come away where the zip is and although thezip is closed there is a big open pocket there anyway , I remember trying to push them into pocket a couple of times , but I guess the Hawthorn got the best of me in the end.

It was after this I went to Cornell and Varney and purchased three Sawtec brush cutter heads , two for myself to go on my shindaiwa C 270 strimmer and one that may go on the Ryobi that Stuart has , I also got some extra cord on a roll , although I had found that on the job when times were lean a length of honeysucle was good for finishing a job as well as tying your shoes up if you should snap a lace.

Made my way into purley and decided to take a detour to Russel Hill , the road where I used to do the private job known as Champ , I eventualy arrived to find the surrounding gardens overgrown and the house what I first thought demolisehed but on closer inspection was actualy burned down . So sad Champ was a lovely and eccentric old asian lady a bit of a recluse in fact , I had a stroll of the totaly decimated house the furthest I ever got into her house while on the job I think was her entrance hallway or maybe the kitchen once when we picked her some grapes of which I found the vine to still be there growing over the shed , I remember trying some of those grapes of which were very nice indeed and pretty large green ones , that must have been all of six years ago now.

While moochin around I had managed to scrape three vinyl singles from off the floor in one room one, this was also the same room I found an adjustable tubular aluminium walking stick that may have belonged to old Champ.

Queen : Bohemian Rhapsody and Death on two legs , 45 Stereo

Smokie : Living next door to alice and Don't play your Rock'N'Roll to me , 45 Stereo

Rory Gallagher : Secret Agent and SOUPED UP FORD , 45 Stereo

All under the Tonpress label.

I also found an adjustable wrench , practically new nailbrush and several wooden coathangers , rather like the IKEA Bumerang ones but darker wood with black hooks , after a look at the old garden I used to look after and seing that splendid Euonymus Elatus once again , the very one that persuaded me to get one of which went from Barbara's flat to her allotment and realy should go back to her flat again ,but this timecplanted under the pear tree alongside the Azalea. I noticed that someone had recently been growing veg in a small allotment at the back of Champ's old garden , I had noticed corgette's ,some rather manky potato's and other veg leaves , unfortunately I never saw any Violence in the bank " Sorry " violet's in the bank.

On the way back through the house I noticed a small fancy wrought iron key shaped key station with hooks for other small keys , it has a good swirling look to it and I will hold it as my personal key to Champ's memory , the house now completely without a roof must have gone up like a pile of well undescribable but there realy is nothing left of the building and bearing in mind most of the house was panneled throughout with wood most likely dating from the 60's or 70's I am not suprized it went up like it did.

On walking outside I happened on a female neighbour of who was at the other side of the fence and asked her when it was old Champs house burned down , she sounded quite pawsh and said it had burned down a couple of months previously after squatters had lived in there for 6 months and before that it had been vacant for three years and soon the land would be up for development , she said when the house had gone up first it sounded like someone was setting off fireworks. And the neighbour and I had a mild disagreement when she said ms Champ was a bit annoying of which could'nt agree to , she was sweet and reclusive.

-------

Related article

May 25th 2007

A HOUSE which has been left gutted by a fierce fire was being frequented by squatters who may have been using it as a drugs factory.

About 30 firefighters spent four hours tackling the blaze at the property in posh Russell Hill, Purley, just doors away from Croydon mayor Derek Millard's home.

Nobody was injured in Sunday night's fire, although neighbours reported seeing a light on in the house on the evening of the incident.

Croydon Police are probing the cause of the blaze, which gutted the property.

Detectives are treating the incident as unexplained and are pursuing all lines of inquiry.

But a source told the Advertiser that officers were called to a "disturbance" at the property the day before the fire and that it was possible the squat was being used as a drugs den.

She added: "You might expect something like this in places like Norbury or Thornton Heath, but it's quite unusual for Purley and we just dont do that kind of thing around here."

Borough Commander Chief Superintendent Mark Gore visited the scene on Monday morning following the blaze.

One neighbour, who asked not to be named, said that squatters had been frequenting the empty house for the last six months.

She told the Croydon Advertiser: "At around 10.40pm on Sunday the lights were full on and a window was open so I thought the squatters must be in again.

"Then at 11pm I heard what I thought was fireworks, then for a moment I thought they might be shooting each other.

"When I looked out my bedroom window I saw huge red flames going up into the sky and the roof of the house was on fire. I panicked and called 999.

"The squatters never caused us that much bother, although out of principle I think it is wrong. This is a nice street."

The neighbour said the house had been empty for the past three years after an elderly lady living there moved into a care home.

It has also emerged the property was the subject of a rejected planning application, which had proposed to demolish the house and build a three-storey block of 10 flats.

Applicants ASP Southern Ltd, based in Benthall Gardens, Kenley, submitted the proposal last June.

It was rejected by Croydon Council in September and then, upon an appeal by the applicant, was rejected again by the Government's Planning Inspectorate on March 28.

The application was thrown out on the grounds the development would be out of character with the area.

Police could not confirm whether four petrol canisters spotted by neighbours on the driveway of the property were linked to the blaze.

-------

Never a dull moment in Nashdom part 2

on the way through Croydon on the way home I passed the nightlife capital of the town only to find the whole area taped up and cordoned off by the police , It was obvious to see an accident had occured as a Initial Express van was visable mounted on the pavement and had ploughed into what appeared to be the local Delicatessen , there were various fire engines , Ambulance and Police cars in attendance and I heard there was a possibility that somebody was under the van , as to wether there had ben a fertility I dont know , but the whole of Park lane and katherine Street were cordoned off just as rush our was begining. My god it's going to be hell on earth in Croydon this evening.

" A raging and burning hell hole of inconveinance "

and out of all that doom and gloom came forth the good news.

I HAVE A NEW STRIM RING SPRING - ^_^ Yayy !!

How very embarasing indeed

Today realy was a mix of interesting items , mother came round for the usual Wednesday visit and at some point I was enticed to give my mentor Grandpa Rex a call , he was the one to pick up the phone and as always was more than happy to chat with me once again.

Apparently grandpa Rex has by his own words started the ball rolling and has decided that his stay in Devon must finaly end and he wishes to return home to Croydon after a year at Cornwood , Yvonne and Alan continue to have other things on their hands and are starting to find it hard to cope with looking after him finaly.

Recently Gramps was visited by a representative from the Devon county council I can only assume this individual from the Care and Social setor , Grandpa Rex has obviously told his side of the story and has in fact mentioned that he has been rather depressed and homesick despite being in such an idylic and clean aired location on the edge of Dartmoor , so it seems there may be the possibility that Rex may be coming home , an event that will benefit all partay's involved.

We discussed the photo that he recently sent me of himself standing outside the very cottage in Cheriton that his father was born in Circa 1868 , apparently the current owners of this rather sweet looking thatched cottage were over the moon at the arrival of part of their homes past history and as well as a photo shoot of Rex in his new and rebelious white bearded face in front of the cottage , the cottage owners were said to have taken pictures of the birth certificates of his mother and father of which they had with them at the time.

I also mentioned the photo I had taken of him that I had taken of him minus - the beard at Goodameavy when we were by chance directed over Dartmoor by Stuarts Garmin and happened on this serene yet slightly eerie location after having a meal at the Tavastock Inn at Gunnislake Cornwall , the village that he lived at for many years and worked as a Junior/Porter Porter/Signalman and then Signalman between 1936 and 1953 at that villages very station.

-------

Also today I was embarassed to see while breaking the rules and watching the TV at Barbara's that the new music video Big Girl by Mika was in fact filmed at Nashdom , I spent half the time while watching it with my hands over my eyes with horror that after failing New York and Las Vegas he would choose a S**thole like Nashdom i.e Croydon just because it had a mild indiret referance to New york as being known as Mini manhattan due to nashdom's ( Croydon's ) nightime skyline.

And it seems like out of all the CD's I have considered purchasing this one has suddenly shot up my personal chart as did Coldplay when they were in concert at Crystal Palace , as if my flat is'nt begining to fill up with enough CD's allready.

-------

And above all todays most momentous occasion has to be when I discussing the fruit on the Nashy tree ( Chinese pear ) noticed that there was an audible shuffling noise eminating from Ted breize's soft fruit orchard , after convincing my father that the shufling noise could'nt possibly be a black bird due to it's un-ending and rather loud nature my thoughts went from 55 Nashy fruits on the second year to either Hodgehegs or a Fox.

Immagine my suprize when I leaned over dads easily five foot high compost shed to see the unmistakeable form of a badger , of which by now I was most exited due to all the years I have walked or indeed as a child I have never seen a badger before there in person after only hearing rumors of them for years , for what seemed like three minutes my father and I chatted and shaked our heads with amazement at seeing this spectacle , and it was'nt until a creak of a fence saw his unmistakeble head pop out of the deep leaf litter that he had been bulldozing for all that time around the black currents and he met the path and went like a bat out of hell towards the Chaffinch Brook mostlikely out of our site jumping it.

Obviously he was so busy rooting around for food he could'nt smell us , he could'nt hear us due to himseld rustling the leaf litter and he could'nt see us because Badgers eye sight aint all that good anyway , So no doubt as he lifted his head and made a dash and XD and I quote with someone in mind , this badger left with the possibility of being emotionaly enraged.

And all within just a mere few yards between us , a truly Priceless monent.

The last time I came this close to a Badger being at a BCSS commitee meeting at Kingswood way , Selson Ridge when John Lansdowne had trained the badgers to take raisins and peanuts to the point that they would follow the trail up the sloping garden and up the stairs to the glass doors of his conservatory , also an occasion when I silently over reacted this being my first ever badger encounter , most likely back in 2001.

-------

On other news I have been spending a lot of time recently on last.fm due to the severe lack of Forums and Message boards in my life , I have caught up on various bands and artists recently , these ranging from

David Gray
Jack Johnson
Enigma
Lemon Jelly
Autechre
Aphex Twin

to

Type O Negative
Linkin Park
Keane
Jet
Coldplay
E*vax

and even

Bread
Nat King Cole
Clive Dunn's ( Grandad )

-------

The Mr Anonymuse ( Musa Acuminata ) Banana MK2 continues to grow rampantly in its coir filled blue glazed pot and producing a new leaf just short of every fortnight is now against all odds on the point of being at the half way point to reaching my ceiling , so who knows I may break a miracle yet and grow my own domestic Banana's , and each new leaf is bigger than the next . Luckily enough on Tuesday when Stuart visited my flat he was able to sit at the other ond of the sofa central to all of my Aiwa speakers , if he had been the other end he would no doubt be hiding in a jungle.

-------

The weekend promises to be very intereting indeed . On saturday Stuart and I plan on taking the two Specialized HardRock Sport's to Lloyd Pk Nashdom to attend on of the two festivals , this one being the Afro Carribean event of the two . The second festival being the Meala , the one we attended last year but will be away this Sunday . It will be nice to take the camera up there and get some picture of the indeed most distinctive Shona or Angus Watts silk flags . I intend to study the construction of these in preparation for a second interpretation of Tamiya and Kyosho's restauraunt at Westhampton's Paloma Park. In this new interpretation I was considering a design similar to the Domino House in France , the notable building that fits as a prime example of building in the modernist style.

-------

Sunday I hope will work out ok on arrival at Donington for the British touring car Championship , on tuesday with Stuart in attendance I purchased a ticket online and have I hope a ticket waiting for me on arrival at the ticket office at Donington , we will be joining various Vauxhall Sports Car Club members , Berley ( Daddy Cool ) being one of them and are hoping to get the same VXR treatment that Stuart and Berley got at Brands Hatch earlier in the year . With any luck we will get to browse the paddock and no doubt see the very same VXR touring cars that Stuart and Berley saw being built before the Touring car season started.

I hope I get to have my Annual shot of Pimm's because I missed out on Goodwood this year and failed to come across a Pimm's tent at the Bromley Pagent this year.

Talk about the bromley Pagent . Despite the long time away the Vauxhall sports car club ( South East Region ) made an impressive gathering of 15 different Vaux's of which that was all we had expected that day , a pair of gazebo's were fuzed together and for the first half hour the whole VXLScc partay under cover until sturat , Berley and I braved the storm of which inturn prompted the rest of the group to go their own way.

After much walking around stalls and Stuart securing new number plates for his motor we returned to the doube gazebo's for sustanance < ? , only to get the portable stove out to make tea to find the wind stiffening , I complained to the point that after 20 mins the water had failed to boil due to air turbulance and another section of gazebo was installed to shield the tea making facility that I was working , very shortly after this the whistle finaly began to go awf.

-------

On a sad not I lost my Mirror Carper sherwood just short of a week ago due to a fungus setting in after I accidently came into contact with him while disturbing the tank to allow the Eheim Aquaball to take up waste in suspension in the tank water . Obviously I rubbed off part of his protective mucous membrane and an unknow something got in.

So Sherwood accompany's

Nash-eoke
Ben Gun the gerbil
Pip my first lovebird ( The Male )

Sherwood

Pets that I have Indirectly killed with care or good intention , ben Gun being the first fatality and being a genuine accident when I ran over his tail with the coaster of a G Plan sofa trying to find him after he escaped onto the floor , I was very young then.

I wont go into the rest as I allready am guilty enough.

And to make matters worse , two days after I lost Sherwood I bought a Shubukin rather like Mosschops to replace Sherwood , as soon as he came into contact with my tank water I knew something was up as my new fish was not the same ebulient soul that he was in the shop or the blow up transporting bag . In a matter of overnight I woke up to see his fins were eroding and on returning from Barbara's this Monday gone I found it dead , so whatever it is in my tank the four remaining fish , Fancy , Mosschops , Baddiel and Skinns are either used to it or are safe so long as this fungus does'nt get past their protective coating.

If it's not reactions to Sugar Puffs it unknown Fungal or Bacterial attacks.

Waffle

Waffle

Blah

Blah

-----

( ( HUGS ) )

A cut above the rest

Tonight despite the dismal rain I decided to cycle to the BCSS Croydon branch meeting.

The lecture was provided by Stuart Riley of Plantlife cactus nursery at Eastbourne Sussex , and he first gave a talk with various Grafted plants , discussing the benefits and some of the disadvantages of Grafting cacti , towards the end of the first session and before the mid term break things began to get serious.

When he suddenly put a retractable stationers knife to a perfectly good and clean specimen of Ferocactus Glaucescens , needles to say there were a few gasps and one of the members almost fell out of his chair with shock , this had a section of spineless Cristate Notocactus or should I now say Parodia Scopa stuck on top.

This was inserted into a 1 1/2 in square BEF pot and held down by two 18 Ryman elastic band , the end product looking less shocking and actualy quite proffesional , I may consider trying some grafting again myself.

Other stocks used for graft was a Echinopsis with a Rebutia Heliosa stuck ontop and also a Discocactus plonked ontop of a Trichocereus Bridgesii.

All in all a very interesting meeting indeed . the second half of the lecture being slides of grafted plants at nurseries in Belgium , Holland and Tuscon , Arizona.

Plants bought this meeting are as follows.

£ 2.00 Stenocactus Hastatus , Synoynmous with Echinofossulocactus Hastatus , characteristic wavy ribs.

£ 2.00 Euphorbia Obesa , A smallish flattened speciman from an outside source other than my origional Crystal Palace Female and Male speciman from Maria Leche monastary in Germany , this plant appears to be female.

£ 2.00 Euphorbia Horrida , Quite large for the price I payed , slightly columnular and supports it's name rather well.

50P Notocactus laetevirens or should I now say Parodia Muricata , a plant that I used to have in my collecton some year ago in the early 90's that our former neighbours at Mum and Dads gave us , over time I lost it probably due to root rot of which this variety is prone to , I could'nt believe my luck when I recognised the plant in question and snapped it up . this plant will eventualy have a typical Notocactus yellow flower.

£ 2.00 Mammilaria Carmanae , I had a slight hidden agenda for this plant and although I had lost my own specimen of mamm Carmanae this winter gone , I happened to notice also growing in the pot a small specimen of Euphorbia Obesa , this small seedling however is very well camoflaged < ? and almost a cm round , the interesting part is this seedling is varieagated and shows some yellow and pink tips with fresh green between the very shallow ribs.

My guess is the seedling has come this far without dying due to lack of chloraphyl sustanance so it should survive and grow into a normal and pretty plant but with a varieagated twist.

I am a big fan of the Cbbc TV series Raven on a Wednesday and Friday at
4.30 and I feel it is one of the best programmes on the tv at the
moment.

however I am 28 and I recently tried to access the Forest Quest flash
game , after playing the newer Way of the warrior raven Game.

I cant say I am upset at not being able to access the site under the
name Mr_Anonymuse as of course we must protect the privacy and welfare
of young children.

* nods *

However 13 is not much of of a limit , there must be kids up to the age
of 16 who would have liked to have played this game and have also been
turned away.

Would have liked to have tried it out , maybe I am just a big kid myself
, but I like the way each episode is different come rain or shine and
the fact that kids are realy put through their physical paces in Raven.

I give raven ***** stars , but just consider my comment as I am not one
of those strange or wierd people that comprise the minority.

bbc reply

Dear Jonathan

Thank you for your e-mail regarding 'Raven'.

I was pleased to read that you enjoy the programme and think so highly of it. It
is always gratifying to receive such a positive response from viewers, though I
note your disappointment at the age limit on the games section of the website.

Please be assured that I have registered your comments on our Audience Log,
which is used by producers and the makers of 'Raven' in assessing feedback from
viewers.

In closing, may I thank you once again for taking the time to contact the BBC.

Regards

John Clarke
BBC Information
